Worlds Within Series #21 Mixed Media Collage

The Worlds Within Series is a body of work that asks us to look deep within the layers of our lives.

This piece is a mixed media collage, using layers of paper, most of which I have hand-decorated. This piece is on a wood substrate, adding layers of paper, sometimes covering up previous layers to create texture. I add bits and bobs of ephemera (pages torn from old books, old postage stamps, sheetrock tape) and continue layering. This piece has several layers and lots of texture.
